Monel R405 Metal Sheet Plate Nickel Alloy Low Density Steel Plate
Monel R405 is a nickel-copper alloy that exhibits excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, and good weldability. It is resistant to sea water and steam at high temperatures, as well as salt, caustic solutions, alkalis, and sulfuric, hydrochloric, and hydrofluoric acids. Monel R405 is very similar to Monel 400, but with greater sulfur content added to produce sulfide inclusions, which act as chip breakers during machining processes. Monel R405 can be fabricated, heat treated, and pickled via the same procedures used for Monel 400. |
